Jochen Wilms built a distinguished 25-year career in marketing, promotion, sales and management. He worked from 1992 until 2002 as a leading executive in the media industry, with the Bertelsmann Group and produced, served and marketed media with Bertelsmann direct group in cooperation with RTL Group, the No. 1 European broadcaster; Random House, the world’s largest book-publishing group; and Gruner + Jahr, Europe’s biggest magazine publisher and the Bertelsmann Music Group BMG. Wilms worked with the Bertelsmann Group as Sales and Marketing Manager, Managing Director of Sales and as Managing Director, with responsibility for customer relationship marketing, e-commerce, joint ventures and business development.
In 2002 he joined Schüco International, spending eight years with the company helping as the international Senior Executive Vice President and President Schüco USA to turn it into a $3 billion company with more than 5,000 employees in over 70 countries. He has been involved with environmental issues since 2002 on the climate change and developed leading marketing and product strategies in the field of energy efficient products and solar technology against the topic of global warming.
Since 2010 he’s been an independent contractor and consultant engaged in entrepreneurial ventures and provides strategic advice to listed and international companies on a board and shareholder level in the fields of media, internet technology and sustainability.
